Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition 21 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette

I love watching YouTube makeup videos, and I have quite a number of  favorite channels which I've been fallowing for years now. 
Carli Bybel's channel is not one of them.

I have tried to watch her channel for a while because I admit her impecable doll like look and makeup definitely catought my eyes, but something in the way she talks, acts and generally carry herself made it impossible for me to relate to her. 
And when I can't relate- I don't watch.

When I heard she created a palette with BH Cosmetics it sounded interesting, because despite what I think about her you can't argue with her being talented and one of the most successful YouTubers today, but ordering the palette to Spain was not worth it (the shipment costs more than the palette..) so I skipped it then.

A few weeks ago I entered the Urban Outfitters store in Catalonia square and to my surprise right there, in the "aisle of doom" near the cashier, there was a pile of the second edition of her palette which is called "Deluxe Edition 21 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette", a bigger and improved version of the first one.

I looked at it, swatched it, but left the store without the palette since I wasn't sure I wanted to buy it. A few days later, when I passed through the store again I couldn't help noticing that the pile of palettes has shrunked substantially so I just grab one, paid 29 Euros for it and took it home.

And what can I say- I'm not sorry about it!

The first palette, 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette, had 10 eyeshadow and 4 Highlighter and was obviously smaller size wise. The Deluxe Edition has 15 eyeshadow and 6 Highlighter, and they are beautiful!

The outside packaging, sturdy and marble like, is gorgeous. When you open it you find a good quality mirror and a useful array of daily eyeshadow which can create different looks, but for me the true stars of this palette are the highlighters.

The matte eyeshadows are a bit chalky at first touch but go on the eyelid smoothly and blend easily, and I love the fact that there are a few options for transition colors. The shimmer eyeshadow are absolutely beautiful, the pigmentation is flawless and the durability power of both the matte and shimmer eyeshadows is long, without fading or transferring.

I love highlighters so much, and having 6 of them here is absolute joy for me.

They are all buttery, gives an amazing glow and can fit various skin tones. Since they can also function as eyeshadows I can put them all to good use, even the dark brown one that can't be used as highlighter on my light skin tone function beautifully as an eyeshadow.

I'm really happy I didn't skip this palette. Her sturdy packaging makes her a great companion for traveling and although I paid more for her here (29 Euros in Spain vs. 22.5$ in USA), it was well worth it!
